CSS3 now has the ability to create effects which, in the past, could only be produced using Javascript. Within this section I will explain the various new properties that are available for you at present and how to use these effectively in modern day browsers.

HTML5 may still be a work in progress but as with CSS3, most modern browsers have at least some support for it. So, what's new with HTML5? This version has been stripped of unnecessary tags making the language simple to understand and easier to use, which you will learn about through the tutorials in this section. It also has some nice little surprises which, in time you, will also learn about within this section.

In this section you will learn how to customise your works using various tools and techniques, be it photographic or graphical, for web or print. In this section we will be exploring the various roles that flash is able to undertake. Custom text, animations, web applications, games and thats just to name a few things. I will introduce you to Flash slowly by showing you around the simple tools, timelines and more intriguingly useful tools like the bone tool.

How does PHP differ from other scripts?

PHP is a server-side language which basically means the code is executed by the server, which in turn generates the HTML code that the user will see in his/her browser window. The actual PHP coding will never be seen by the user. PHP on a whole is very simple to understand for a beginner and offers many advanced features for a professional but for now let us start simple and work our way up.

So what can be expected from this section? Javascript is like a magic trick that every designer should know how and when to use correctly. This language can turn the most boring web page into a dynamic and hugely interactive work of art.
